The Nanoscale Bacteriology Lab at the Rudolf Virchow Center, University of Würzburg, Germany, invites you to be a part of groundbreaking research that combines microbiology, advanced microscopy, and artificial intelligence. We have two PhD positions available, sponsored by the Bavarian Distinguished Professorship Programme, with a focus on deciphering bacterial organization and the mechanism of antibiotics. If you have a fervor for fundamental research and a background in life sciences, this is a unique chance to contribute to state-of-the-art scientific investigations.
Qualification profile:
As a PhD applicant you have completed a university degree (Diploma, MSc, or equivalent) in life sciences or related fields.
Essential qualifications
Enthusiasm for science/basic research
A strong background in the field of life sciences
Experience in microbiology, molecular biology or microscopy
Excellent team spirit
A good command of English as you will be working in an international team.
Optional qualifications
Experience in super-resolution microscopy
Experience in programming or advanced image analysis
Experience in biochemistry
