SDU Undergraduate Scholarship benefits
1). Language Proficiency: Improve your Chinese language skills to pass the HSK 3 exam (270 points) after six months or the HSK 4 exam (210 points) after one year.
2). Academic Foundation: The scholarship provides you with foundation courses in basic subjects like mathematics and chemistry, preparing you for undergraduate studies.
3). Comprehensive Courses: Includes intensive Chinese language courses, major preparation courses, professional Chinese language, and HSK skill training.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, with no criminal record, and friendly towards China.
Language proficiency requirements: If an applicant wants to study this program for one academic year (starting in September 2024), no Chinese language proficiency is required. If an applicant wants to study this program for only one semester (starting in February 2025), an official HSK 3 certificate is required with a score of over 180.
Application Procedure
Applicants must login to the SDU Online Application System for International Students (http://www.apply.sdu.edu.cn) in order to apply. The application information should be fully filled in and required documents have to be uploaded:
Valid Passport
The high school diploma or equivalent or pre-graduation certification.
Transcripts of all courses taken when pursuing the high school degree
Study plan written in Chinese or English.
Proof of language proficiency (refer to this section for details)
Certificate of No Criminal Conviction.
Copies of Statement of Financial Support through a Guarantor (download template)
Bank Statement certifying that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover his or her tuition, accommodation, living expenses and international travels during his or her study in China
