COFP Fellowship Overview
Since its inception in 2018, the COFP Fellowship Program has empowered over 325 individuals from 16 African countries with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective peacebuilding. Designed by Africans for Africans, the program addresses the continent's unique peace and security challenges.
Program Structure and outcomes:
Three Learning Modules: Fellows convene quarterly for week-long, in-person training sessions in Abuja over one year.
Community Peace Project: Each Fellow receives a seed grant to implement a community-based peace initiative before graduation.
Professional Certification: Upon completion, Fellows are awarded university certificates in Interreligious Dialogue, Conflict Transformation, and Mediation.
Network Membership: Graduates join the COFP Africa Network of Peacebuilders (CANEP), a growing community committed to advancing peace across Africa.
