Program Overview
The Fulbright TEA program is designed to provide international secondary-level teachers with professional development opportunities through academic seminars focusing on:
New teaching methodologies

Participants will also engage in a practicum of at least 40 hours with a U.S. partner teacher in a secondary school near the host university, allowing them to actively participate in the U.S. classroom environment. Cultural enrichment, mentoring, and support will be provided throughout the program.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program 2025 -2026 Applicants must:
Employment: Be full-time secondary school teacher
Experience: Minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience by the start of the program, with a preference for those who have completed at least five years.
Subjects Taught: Must teach English, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), math, science, foreign language, social studies, journalism, communications, or special education.- Live and teach in India.
Institution Type: Must work at an institution serving primarily a local population.
Educational Qualification: Must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Citizenship: Must be a citizen and resident of a participating country.
Language Proficiency: Demonstrated oral and written English language proficiency with a minimum score of 45 on the iBT TOEFL or equivalent English language examination (TOEFL scores are not required at the time of application; must be provided by May 15, 2025).
Commitment: Demonstrate a commitment to continue teaching after completion of the program.
