Scholarship Overview
The GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders aim to train and develop the next generation of leaders in global health while strengthening health systems and research capacity in sub-Saharan Africa.

Eligible MSc Programmes
Scholarship recipients can enroll in any of LSHTM’s non-distance learning intensive MSc programmes, except for joint degrees. Excluded programmes:

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
Be nationals and residents of a sub-Saharan African country.
Intend to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing their MSc at LSHTM.
Have a first or upper second-class degree (or equivalent).
Meet LSHTM’s English language proficiency requirements (evidence must be submitted by July 31, 2025).
Hold an offer of admission for a London-based MSc programme at LSHTM for the 2025-26 academic year.
Demonstrate financial need, confirming that they would not be able to pursue the MSc without this scholarship.
Preference will be given to applicants who showcase:
A strong commitment to public health and health-related research in Africa.
The potential to contribute significantly to health system improvements in their home country.
Application Procedure
The application process consists of two mandatory steps, both of which must be completed by March 5, 2025 (23:59 GMT).
Step 1: Apply for Admission to an MSc Programme
Submit an application for a 2025-26 MSc programme at LSHTM.
Follow the instructions under the ‘How to Apply’ tab on your chosen programme’s webpage.
Pay the £50 application fee (early submission is advised to allow time for processing).
Step 2: Submit the Scholarship Application
After applying for an MSc programme, you will receive an automated email from LSHTM’s Scholarships Team with a link to the online scholarship application portal.
Search for ‘GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders’ and complete the application.
Ensure all responses are accurate and submit the application before the deadline.
You will receive a confirmation email upon submission.
