2025 Chinese Government Scholarship Silk-Road Program Nanjing University

The Chinese Silk Road Scholarship 2025-26, part of the Chinese Government Scholarship Council Program, is open for the 2025 September intake at Nanjing University, one of China’s premier institutions. This scholarship is available to international students from Belt and Road Initiative countries and provides funding for both bachelor's and master's programs, offering an immersive experience in Chinese culture and education.

 

Available Study Programs at NJU in 2025 Under Silk Road Program

Nanjing University receives applications for:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Language-Business Chinese (taught in Chinese) at the Institute for International Students.

  • Master’s Degree in Information Resources Management (taught in English) at the School of Information Management.

 

Scholarship Benefits

Recipients of the Silk Road Scholarship enjoy comprehensive support throughout their study:

  1. Monthly Stipend: RMB 2,500 for bachelor’s students and RMB 3,000 for master’s students.

  2. Full Tuition Waiver: Tuition fees are entirely covered.

  3. Health Insurance: A yearly RMB 800 insurance is provided.

  4. Accommodation: Free lodging in Nanjing University’s international dormitories.

 

Eligiblity Criteria

To be eligible for the Belt and Road Scholarship at Nanjing University, you must meet the following criteria:


  1. Nationality: Applicants Must be from one of the Belt and Road Initiative countries.

  2. Age: Bachelor’s applicants should be 18–25, while master’s applicants can be up to 35 years old.

  3. Education: Bachelor’s candidates must have a high school diploma, and master’s candidates require a bachelor’s degree.

  4. Language Proficiency:

  • Bachelor’s: HSK Level 5 for admission and Level 6 for graduation.

  • Master’s: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 85, or Duolingo 100.

 

Application Procedure

The application period goes from January 1, 2025 to March 15, 2025, requiring candidates to complete two applications:


  1. Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) Application: Submitted through the CSC website, specifying Agency No. 10284 and Program Type B

  2. Nanjing University’s International Student Service System: Register and apply at NJU’s China International Student Service System and Submit the CSC form and additional documents, including academic transcripts, recommendation letters, language certifications, and a personal statement.
