Erasmus Mundus E-PiCo+ Overview

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree on Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Control (E-PiCo) is a two-year master program that provides multidisciplinary teaching in the field of e-mobility. The program is designed to address the pressing issues of fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by training future experts in electric propulsion systems.

Curriculum

The curriculum includes courses in energy technology, control engineering, digital signal processing, power electronics, and more. Students will gain technical and scientific solutions applicable in industry, preparing them for careers in electric propulsion systems.


Tracks (Specializations)

The program offers various tracks to allow students to focus on specific areas of interest within electric vehicle propulsion and control:

Mobility Scheme

E-PiCo+ Master programme last for two academic years (120 ECTS) split into 4 equally loaded smesters.

Student mobility paths will take place in minimum 2 countries, and possibly in 3 countries for the first 3 semesters. For the 4th semester E-PiCo+ students may move to partner countries considering the EACEA regulations for Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders or to an industrial partner.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality: Open to students from any country.


2. Educational Background: A relevant bachelor's degree in a field related to electrical engineering such as Electrical engineering, Control systems, Mechatronics (related to Control Systems and Electrical Engineering).


3. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, as the program is taught entirely in English. The following are the recognized English tests:

  • TOEFL (CBT 220, PBT 550, IBT 80),

  • Cambridge B2 First test (173 or higher)

  • Cambridge C1 Advanced test (160 or higher)

  • IELTS (6.5 or higher),

  • TOEIC (800 or higher).


4. Academic Performance: A strong academic record, typically with a GPA of 80% or higher.

 

Application Process

1. Eligibility Check: Ensure you meet the academic and language proficiency requirements.


2. Prepare Documents: During your application you'll be required to attach the following documents:

  • Scan of the passport first pages or identity card

  • Academic degree and transcripts

  • CV

  • Motivation letter (using the mandatory template; download here)


3. Submit Your Application: Submit your application through the online application platform here.


4. Selection: Applications will be reviewed, and successful candidates will be informed before April 2025. Once selected by the jury, students will be contacted by E-PiCo+ Management Office and will have to confirm their admission by signing several documents including the mandatory Student Agreement which set out the rights, rules and regulations of the master programme.
