2025 UCAS-Chinese Government Scholarship (Master's and PhD)

The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is offering the 2025 UCAS-Chinese Government Scholarship for international students pursuing master's and doctoral degrees. This scholarship, backed by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, aims to enhance international academic cooperation and cultural exchange.

Here are the details you need to know.

 

Scholarship Benefits:


PhD Students: Full tuition coverage (RMB 40,000/year) and a monthly stipend of RMB 5,000.

• Master’s Students: Tuition coverage (RMB 30,000/year) and a monthly stipend of RMB 3,500.

• Housing: Free on-campus accommodation or an off-campus subsidy.

• Medical Insurance: Coverage up to RMB 800 per person.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.

  • Proficiency in English or Mandarin.

  • Must hold a degree equivalent to a Chinese bachelor’s (for master's) or master’s (for PhD).

  • Age limits: 35 years for master's and 40 years for PhD.

  • Demonstrate a friendly attitude toward China, and comply with the laws and regulations

  • Cannot hold another sponsorship or be employed during studies.

 

Application Process:

To apply for UCAS China Government Scholarship, follow below steps:


1. Apply via the China Scholarship Council (CSC) Online Application System and fill the application form as Category-B, using UCAS's agency number: 80001. After submission, the system will generate a CSC application form, which needs to include UCAS’s agency number: 80001


2. Complete the UCAS Online Admission Application (Applying for the university admission)


Required Documents:

  • CSC and UCAS application forms

  • Degree certificates and transcripts

  • Passport copy

  • Proof of language proficiency

  • Study plan or research proposal

  • Two recommendation letters

  • Health certificate


• Application Deadline: February 15, 2025 (Beijing Time).
