African STARS Fellowship Overview
The African STARS (Science, Technology, and Research Scholars) Fellowship Programme is a collaborative effort between CERI and IPD, supported by the Mastercard Foundation. It seeks to enhance African expertise in genomics, diagnostics, and vaccine design, addressing the continent's pressing health challenges and contributing to global health security.
Fellowship Tracks:
1. Advanced and Translational Training (ATT) Fellowship (4 months):
Focuses on advanced genomics for public health, genomic diagnostic design, and vaccine & biomanufacturing.
2. Young Professional Programme (YPP) Fellowship (12 months):
Emphasizes research management, innovation & entrepreneurship, infectious diseases R&D for diagnostics, and innovations to enhance patient outcomes in Africa.

Fluent in English or French (proficiency in both is an advantage).
