Eligibility Criteria

  1. Be a resident and citizen of one of the following countries: China, France, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, or Turkey.

  2. Be assessed as an overseas fee payer.

  3. Have received a conditional offer for a full-time 12-month postgraduate course at the University of Kent, starting in September 2025.

  4. Be active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in the chosen subject area.

  5. Be willing to act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education by engaging in extra-curricular activities and promoting the value of studying in the UK.

  6. Be available to attend a networking event for UK-based GREAT scholars.

  7. Applicants must not have applied for distance learning programmes, two-year courses, or PCert/PDip programmes.

 

Application Procedure

1. Admission

Applicants must first receive a conditional offer for their chosen postgraduate programme from the University of Kent before applying for the scholarship via the applicant portal.


2. Essay Submission

Submit a 500-word essay on a topic previously studied that inspired the choice of the degree programme. The essay should be uploaded in PDF or Word format.


3. Additional Considerations

If you have applied for a programme at the Medway School of Pharmacy, email [scholarships@kent.ac.uk]


4. Selection

Scholarships will be awarded based on the application and the clarity of thinking demonstrated in the essay.


5. Deadline

The application must be submitted by 17:00 BST on April 25, 2025.


6. Outcome Notification

Applicants will be notified of the decision by June 27, 2025.
