Funded by The Australian Government, the Research Training Scholarships (RTP) offers a generous financial support for both domestic and international students to pursue a Higher Degree by Research (Master's or PhD) in a vibrant and supportive environment at Australian universities.
Funding Details and Benefits
This scholarship covers tuition fees and provides a generous stipend to help with living costs, allowing you to focus on your research without financial burden. Detailed below:
AU$32,192 (2024 rate) per annum tax-free for full-time students, paid in fortnightly instalments.
AU$16,096 (2024 rate) per annum, taxable, for part-time students, paid in fortnightly instalments.

Relocation allowance: The relocation allowance for RTP stipend recipients is up to $2,000 for domestic students and $2,500 for international students. Conditions apply.
Duration: Three years full-time for a doctoral degree and two years for a research Master's degree.
Eligibility criteria and Requirements
The RTP scholarships at CDU is open to:
Domestic applicants (Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and NZ citizen)
International students
You must be enrolled in an accredited HDR course of study at an Australian Higher Education Provider (HEP).
Demonstrate exceptional research potential to undertake an HDR.
