Charles Darwin University RTP scholarships 2025 [Master's and PhD]

Applications are now open to benefit from The Charles Darwin University (CDU) 2025 Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship.

Funded by The Australian Government, the Research Training Scholarships (RTP) offers a generous financial support for both domestic and international students to pursue a Higher Degree by Research (Master's or PhD) in a vibrant and supportive environment at Australian universities.

 

Funding Details and Benefits

This scholarship covers tuition fees and provides a generous stipend to help with living costs, allowing you to focus on your research without financial burden. Detailed below:


  • AU$32,192 (2024 rate) per annum tax-free for full-time students, paid in fortnightly instalments.

  • AU$16,096 (2024 rate) per annum, taxable, for part-time students, paid in fortnightly instalments.

  • Paid sick leave

  • Maternity leave

  • Relocation allowance: The relocation allowance for RTP stipend recipients is up to $2,000 for domestic students and $2,500 for international students. Conditions apply.


Duration: Three years full-time for a doctoral degree and two years for a research Master's degree.

 

Eligibility criteria and Requirements

The RTP scholarships at CDU is open to:


  • Domestic applicants (Australian citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and NZ citizen)

  • International students

  • You must be enrolled in an accredited HDR course of study at an Australian Higher Education Provider (HEP).

  • Demonstrate exceptional research potential to undertake an HDR.

  • Applicants must have a CDU supervisor to apply (Find a supervisor here)
