TGGS-DAAD Scholarship Summary

  • Host Institutions:** Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand, with a research stay at RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

  • Study Level: Master's Degree in Engineering.

  • Funding: Fully recovered

  • Award Duration: 2 years (scholarship granted for the first year with extension based on performance).

  • Application Deadline: April 30, 2025.

  • Eligible To: Applicants from Southeast Asian countries (excluding Thailand)

 

Scholarship Overview

The TGGS-DAAD Full Scholarships aim to foster international engineering education by supporting students from Southeast Asia in pursuing a two-year master's program at TGGS. The program includes a research stay at RWTH Aachen University in Germany during the second year. This initiative is a collaboration between DAAD, RWTH Aachen, and KMUTNB, reflecting a commitment to academic excellence and international cooperation.

 

Study Programs and Structure

The master's program follows Plan A Type A2, comprising a master's thesis (minimum 12 credits), an industrial internship (4 credits), and coursework (30 credits).


Available Master's Programs for the Scholarship:


1. Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)

2. Chemical and Process Engineering (CPE)

3. Mechanical Engineering Simulation and Design (MESD)

4. Automotive Safety and Assessment Engineering (ASAE)

5. Materials and Production Engineering (MPE)


ℹ️ Note: Applicants are allowed to apply for only one field of study.

 

Scholarship Benefits

  • Tuition Fees: Full coverage of tuition fees for the entire duration of the program.

  • Monthly Allowance: A stipend to cover living expenses in Thailand and Germany

  • Research stay: A fully-funded research stay at RWTH Aachen University in Germany during the second year.

 

TGGS-DAAD Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  1. Nationality: Citizens of Southeast Asian countries (excluding Thailand).

  2. Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering with an excellent academic record.
