EIT Scholarships Overview

The EIT Manufacturing Scholarship offers innovative two-year programs featuring intensive study at two different European universities. Students acquire comprehensive knowledge and expertise in their chosen manufacturing field while earning two separate degrees. The program includes a distinctive three-week summer school focused on Innovation & Entrepreneurship at a third university, creating a truly enriched learning experience. This collaborative initiative is led by EIT Manufacturing in partnership with nine prestigious university partners across Europe. The program blends technical and technological coursework with specialized training in innovation and entrepreneurship, addressing global societal challenges such as circular economy, industrial innovation, and sustainability.

 

Participating Universities and Study Programs

The EIT Manufacturing Master School offers five specialized master’s programs:

  1. Zero Defect Manufacturing for a Circular Economy

  2. Additive Manufacturing for Full Flexibility

  3. Data Science and AI for Competitive Manufacturing

  4. Platform for Digitalized Value Networks

  5. People and Robots for Sustainable Work


Each program combines technical expertise with innovation and entrepreneurship training. Students will study at two different universities and participate in a three-week summer school at a third university, enhancing their learning experience and providing a diverse educational environment. The participating universities include:

  • University of Trento, Italy

  • Grenoble INP, France

  • University College Dublin (UCD), UK

  • Aalto University, Finland

  • Vienna University of Technology (TU Wein)

  • University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI)

 

EIT Scholarships Benefits and Coverage

The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support, including:

  1. Full tuition grant of €15,000 per year

  2. Mobility grant of €2,000 per year

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the EIT Manufacturing Scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Hold a Bachelor of Science degree (180 ECTS) in a field related to the program tracks (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or industrial engineering)

  2. Be an international non-European student

  3. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English through recognized tests (IELTS ≥ 6.5, TOEFL IBT ≥ 93, or equivalent), with test results taken on or after September 30, 2023.


💡 English Language Proficiency Tests and Exemptions

The language of instruction in all EIT Manufacturing Master School programmes is English. All applicants must provide proof of sufficient proficiency in English. Generally, the proficiency must be proved with sufficient results in a language test. Certain groups of applicants may be exempted from the language test but required to provide other documentation on their language proficiency. You will find it particularly in the "Other requirements" section of the webpage of each programme.

To apply for the EIT Manufacturing Scholarship, follow these steps:
