In the final week, you’ll present your research at a capstone event attended by faculty and industry leaders, showcasing your work and exploring future opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

The Google DeepMind Research Ready Programme is tailored to current undergraduate students and students with only a bachelor's degree in computer science, AI, or a related technical field. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1). Essential Criteria:

  • Must be a resident of the UK and eligible to pay UK home fees

  • Must have the right to live and work full-time in the UK for the duration of the program

  • Must be in the penultimate year of their undergraduate degree or have completed an undergraduate degree in computer science, AI, or a related technical field

  • Must not be currently enrolled in or have completed a Master's or PhD program


2). Socioeconomic Criteria (at least one required):

  • Eligible for free school meals during secondary education

  • Residing in an area ranked in the lowest two deciles according to deprivation indices like IMD or POLAR

  • Experienced care from a local authority at any point

  • In receipt of full state support for maintenance during their undergraduate studies
