Google DeepMind Scholarship at University of Birmingham (up to £56,525 in value)

The School of Computer Science, University of Birmingham is thrilled to announce two available scholarships generously funded by Google DeepMind, that are open to applicants currently holding either a conditional offer or unconditional offer for the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Program at University's UK Edgbaston campus to apply for.

These two scholarships will enable talented students to take the next step towards fulfilling their ambitions of a career in some of the most innovative and sought-after areas of industry and research.

The scholarships are open for both residents of UK and International students.

 

DeepMind Scholarship Value and covering

The DeepMind MSc. Scholarship offered at University of Birmingham is a Fully-Funded scholarship that covers full tuition fees and living costs. Here is the Breakdown of DeepMind Scholarship's value and benefits.


  1. Full tuition fees waiver: The value of covered tuition fees is £11,340 for UK students and £31,410 for international students.

  2. A maintenance grant of £19,345 (to use for living costs), paid in instalments over the duration of the course

  3. Funding of up to £2,200 to attend an international conference in the field of AI and/or Machine Learning during the course as well

  4. £1,700 towards purchase of essential equipment (suitable laptop etc.).

  5. £1,870 to assist with relocation expenses (for international students).

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants wishing to apply for the scholarship should meet the following criteria:


  • Identify as female

  • Able to demonstrate financial need

  • Have already received a conditional /unconditional offer to study the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Birmingham.

 

How to Apply

As mentioned before, for you to be considered for the DeepMind Scholarship at University of Birmingham, you must be an offer holder of the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Therefore, you first need to Apply for the program (Check this link).

Once you have received an offer from the central Admissions Office, you will be sent an email with a direct application link, in order to apply for the DeepMind scholarship. (If you already hold an offer, you will also receive this email when applications are about to open.)

 

Application Deadline

The final scholarship application deadline will be:

  • For international students: Sunday 21st July 2024

  • For UK students: Sunday 18th August 2024

 

• Suitable candidates will be invited for interviews which will take place between End of July for International applicants and End of August for UK applicants.
