Banting Postdoc fellowship Overview
The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program provides funding to the very best postdoctoral applicants, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the country's economic, social, and research-based growth.
70 fellowships are awarded annually with approximately 140 awards are active at any time.

Scholarship Value and Duration
The scholarship spans over Two-years nonrenewable period and it provides a funding of $70,000.

Application timeline
1). April to September 2024: Applicants seek endorsement from host institution to apply, prepare and submit application (institutions may have internal deadlines).
2). September 17, 2024: Deadline for complete application submission
3). October to December 2024: Evaluation of applications
4). Mid-February 2025: Anticipated notification of results. Applicants will be notified by email when the results are available on ResearchNet.
5). April to October 2025: Payments begin
