IRiSS Predoctoral Researchers Program Overview
The IRiSS Predoctoral Researchers Program is designed to expand research capacity in the social sciences and strengthen the pool of scholars through mentorship. Predoctoral researchers will work under the supervision of faculty members, contributing to various stages of the research process, including:
Conducting literature reviews
Developing experiments or models
Designing and implementing studies
Cleaning, coding, and analyzing data
Preparing results for presentation or publication
Predoctoral researchers are expected to spend 90% to 95% of their time engaged in research activities. A small portion of their time will be allocated to program orientation, research training, sharing research findings, and professional development. This immersive experience aims to enhance participants' capacity to succeed in academia and social science research careers.
