The Scholarship was established in 2000 and is financed by Kiwiplan, an IT (Information Technology) company, specialising in computer systems for the paper packaging industry.
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to provide support for Computer Science, Information Systems, and Software Engineering students in their final year of study.
Kiwiplan Scholarship Summary
• Applicable study: BSc or BAdvSci(Hons) in Computer Science or BSc Information and Technology Management; or BE(Hons) in Software Engineering (see Reg. 3)
• Closing date: 25 July 2024
• Tenure: One year
• Offer rate: Annually
• Value: Up to $4,500
➢ The Scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments in Semester One and Two, as soon as is practical after confirmation of the awardee’s enrolment (that is, after the final date on which a student may add or delete courses without incurring a late enrolment fee).
Eligibility Criteria
Open to both Domestic and international students
currently enrolled in Stage II of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Year Three of a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (BAdvSci(Hons)) in Computer Science or Information and Technology Management; or Part III of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (BE(Hons)) in Software Engineering; or an associated conjoint degree, and
enrolling in the final year of the said program
(GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 (5.50 for Māori and Pacific candidates)
