Scholarship Overview

The Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholarship is offered by the Centre for European Studies at Carleton University in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). The scholarship aims to strengthen academic exchange on transatlantic relations by hosting a scholar in residence for four months.


During the fellowship, the scholar will:

  1. Teach one MA-level seminar on transatlantic relations, tailored to their expertise.

  2. Deliver a public lecture on their research, co-hosted by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.

  3. Engage in other academic and research activities, including consultations with policy practitioners, guest lectures, and collaboration with local scholars.


The position is housed in Carleton's Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies (EURUS), a multidisciplinary institute renowned for its expertise in global affairs, European studies, and transatlantic relations.
