The KTH Scholarship 2025 covers the full tuition fee for the first and second years of a master's program, provided that the study results during the first year are satisfactory. However, it does not include living costs. The scholarship is open to students from all nationalities, and there is no specific age requirement.

 

Eligible Study Programs

KTH Scholarships are available for applicants to all programmes except for (joint Erasmus+, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Urban Mobility and Nordic Five Tech programmes, and the joint programme Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering)

 

Eligibility Check

To be eligible for the KTH Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

  1. Be a fee-paying student and have applied for a master's program at KTH as their first priority.

  2. Hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record.

  3. Demonstrate a drive to contribute to sustainable development. Scholarship applicants should describe how they intend to contribute to sustainable development with a master’s degree from KTH.

  4. Be proficient in oral and written English communication skills.

  5. Not be enrolled in Erasmus Mundus, EIT Digital, EIT InnoEnergy, EIT Urban Mobility, or Nordic Five Tech programs.

The application window for the KTH Scholarship 2025 opens on December 1, 2024, and closes on January 15, 2025. An 'Apply now button ' will be available on this webpage once application window opens on December 1st.


Remember that before applying to the KTH scholarship you must first apply for any of the eligible master's programmes mentioned above as a fee-paying student. The application for KTH master's study programs are submitted through the unified admission system of Sweden universities: (universityadmissions.se)


Selection Process

The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence and the selection process is undertaken in parallel with the admissions process. An assessment of applicants for the scholarship is made based on the following criteria:

  • The applicant's grades (GPA or equivalent)

  • The ranking of the university that awarded the applicant's bachelor's degree

  • The applicant's extracurricular research experiences or publications, relevant work experience, relevant teaching experience, awards from competitions and extracurricular activities

  • The applicant’s motivation how they will contribute to the sustainable development goals with a master’s degree from KTH
