The Italian Government through the The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) call for applications to the MAECI grants for the academic year 2024-2025.
The Scholarship Program offers fully-funded scholarships for Master's and Ph.D degrees .
studies in Italy. The grant is Open to citizens of 139 countries see the (List of Eligible Countries 24-25.pdf) These scholarships aim to enhance international relations and promote Italian culture and language. Additionally, for the 2024-2025 academic year, three special scholarships are reserved for applicants from Nigeria, Morocco, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, focusing on Development Cooperation, International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, and International Relations. This initiative is a significant opportunity for academic and cultural exchange, supporting Italy's global economic presence.
Benefits of Italian Government Scholarship | MAECI Scholarships:
The student will get an opportunity to do research with Italian universities and highly qualified Professors.
The student will receive a total amount of 9,000 (nine thousand) euros, paid in three separate installments to the personal current account, opened in his/her name, with an Italian banking institution.
The Scholarship duration can be six or nine months depending on the type of course you selected (can be renewed)
Renewals are granted only to those students who prove satisfactory academic progress.
Students may be exempted from the payment of enrollment and tuition fees depending on the policy of each Institute.
The exemption is not granted for courses in Italian culture and language, for which enrollment fees are due.
Fields of Study by Italian Government Scholarship | MAECI Scholarship Program:
The Italian Government offers numerous numbers of International Scholarships in Italy for Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Degree. The candidate has to select at least one of the below fields to apply for this scholarship program and those fields are mentioned below:
Master’s Degree (2 years )
Ph.D. Degree Research under Academic Supervision (Co-supervised projects )
Courses of Higher Education in Music, Dance, and Arts.
Italian language/Cultural Courses (Three months)
Age requirements:
Applicants for Master’s Degree/Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM) Programmes/ Italian Language and Culture advanced Courses should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 28 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th 1995), with the sole exception of renewals.
Applicants for PhD Programmes should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 30 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th 1993), with the sole exception of renewals.
Applicants for Research Projects under academic supervision should have attained the age of majority and shall not exceed the age of 40 years by the deadline of this call (born after June 14th 1983).

The students must fulfill the application form online through the official website. Firstly create an account, fill out the application form, upload the required documents and submit the application and save it before leaving the page. The candidate must finish the application form before the deadline.
The Scholarship will be given to students for a duration of study starting from 1st November 2024 to 31st October, 2024
Application Deadlines for Italian Government Scholarship in Italy 2024- 2025 by MAECI Scholarships Program:
