Programme Overview

The University of Michigan Future Public Health Leaders Program (Michigan FPHLP) is a residential summer program funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The program aims to encourage underrepresented college students to consider careers in public health by providing them with leadership training, real-world work experience, and mentorship opportunities.


Michigan FPHLP is designed for college students in their sophomore, junior, or senior year who are undecided about their career goals but are in good academic standing. The program fosters knowledge of, excitement about, and commitment to health equity.
