The Migration and Technology Fellowship Program (MTM) is an initiative by Migration + Tech Monitor aimed at empowering individuals with lived experiences of migration, displacement, or occupation. The fellowship provides a stipend of up to $30,000 for 12 months to successful applicants.
The MTM Fellowship Key Objectives
1. Participatory Work: The fellowship prioritizes participatory work, allowing affected communities to pitch unique and relevant projects.
2. Collaborative Community: It aims to foster a collaborative, intellectual, and advocacy community committed to border and migration justice.
3. Diverse Projects: Fellows have worked on various projects, including resource sharing via WhatsApp, chatbots for legal services, research on surveillance, educational programs on digital rights, and social media platforms for migrant workers.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Currently experiencing forced migration, displacement (externally or internally), or occupation.
Residing in a host community and facing challenges in accessing resources for project implementation.
Having a project inspired by their lived experience of migration or displacement that positively impacts mobile or migrated communities.
Interested in projects at the intersection of technology and migration, such as research, journalism, culture, or education.

What is the intended effect of your project?.
Where, how, and possibly with whom do you want to implement your project? Just a couple of words, nothing has to be set in stone yet.
What would you use the money for? Give us a vague idea of how to spend your grant. Traveling? Equipment? Personnel? Additional Education? Living expenses can also be factored into this calculation. A rough estimate is enough.
How will mobile or migrated communities benefit from your project? Let us know about your vision.
2). Personal Statement or Video
(500 words in your language or video) Where you explain how your lived experiences inspired you to come up with your idea, what enables you to turn your project vision into reality, how and why you identify as a member of a mobile, migrated, or occupied community, and why you think the MTM should pick you.
