The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP Scholarship) is an initiative by the Malaysian Government to attract brilliant minds from citizens of Developing Countries to pursue Master's degree studies in Malaysia.

MTCP Scholarship Summary
• Eligibility: The scholarship is open to citizens of developing countries - See the list of Recipient Countries of MTCP 2024 on this PDF Document (Annex I)
• Study Level(s): Master's Degree
• Funding: Fully-Funded+Monthly Stipend
• Host Institutions: All Malaysian 20 public universities and 4 selected private universities as listed in this PDF Document are supported under MTCP (Annex II).
• Duration: Maximum of 36 Months
• Deadline: 14 July 2024
Scholarship Coverage
The MTCP Scholarship is fully funded that provides awardees with the following benefits:
Tuition fees for the whole sponsorship period will be paid directly to the university upon issuance of invoice by the university
Monthly allowance of RM3,500.00 per month will be paid directly to recipients Malaysian bank account
One-off return economy class airline ticket from the student's closest international airport to Malaysia and back to the student's home country.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, Applicants need to comply with the following criteria:
1). Age: Not more than 40 or 45 years old at the time of application
2). Academic Qualifications: Obtain a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum
CGPA of 3.5 or equivalent at the Undergraduate Degree level
3). English Language Proficiency: A scanned copy of the original proof of English Language Proficiency such as
IELTS (minimum total score 6) or;
TOEFL internet-based test (minimum total score of 60); or
Has obtained a previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of instruction
4). Health Condition: Has an excellent level of health certified by a doctor/ physician. The cost of the medical check-up shall be fully borne by the applicant. (Download the Medical report form PDF here)
Application Documents and Procedure
Prepare the following set of Documents in scanned PDF format:
Certified copy of the passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months);
Certified copy of academic Transcripts of undergraduate studies
Certified official document issued by the applicant's alma mater describing the institution's grade system if the applicant's transcript does not include information on CGPA, marks or score percentile.
A certified copy of the English proficiency test result (IELTS/TOEFL) or official letter from the previous institution declaring English as the medium of instruction used for the obtained degree(s).
