No IELTS Scholarships at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) - Quick Guide

Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) offers a variety of fully funded scholarships that do not require an IELTS score and here are some of them that you might consider and their benefits.

 

1). Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) – Type B :


• Benefits:

Full tuition coverage, free accommodation or a subsidy, a monthly stipend (CNY 2,500 for undergraduates, CNY 3,000 for master’s, and CNY 3,500 for PhD students), and comprehensive medical insurance.


• Eligibility: High school graduates applying for undergraduate programs, bachelor’s degree holders for master’s programs, and master’s degree holders for PhD programs.

 

2). Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship


• Benefits: Full or partial tuition scholarships for one year.


• Eligibility: Open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students.

 

3). BIT International Student Scholarship:

• Benefits: Tuition fee waiver for undergraduate and dual-degree programs.


• Eligibility: Non-Chinese citizens applying for undergraduate programs.

 

4). Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship:


• Benefits: CNY 20,000 for master’s students and CNY 30,000 for PhD students.


• Eligibility: Students applying to BIT’s Zhuhai Campus.

 

Degrees Offered

BIT offers a wide range of degree programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels in both Chinese and English. Some popular fields of study include:


• Undergraduate Programs: Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, International Economics and Trade, and more.


• Master’s Programs: Aeronautics & Astronautics Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), among others.


• PhD Programs: Fields such as Electronics Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Applied Economics.

 

Eligibility Criteria


• Undergraduate Programs: High school graduates between the ages of 18 and 25, proficient in either Chinese or English (TOEFL/IELTS is optional for native speakers or graduates of English-taught programs).


• Graduate Programs: Bachelor’s degree holders under the age of 35 for master’s programs, and master’s degree holders under the age of 40 for PhD programs. Two recommendation letters from professors are required.


• No IELTS Requirement: English proficiency can be demonstrated via other means, and students from English-speaking countries or English-taught programs are exempt from providing TOEFL/IELTS scores
