✅ Eligibility Criteria
For MSc Applicants:
Minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) in first degree or Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience
Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
Computer literacy
Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Submission of a statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) detailing the relevance of the proposed study to the oil and gas industry and its expected impact on national development
Valid National Identity Number (NIN) with verification (NIMC verification charges apply)
For PhD Applicants:
Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service (NYSC)
Computer literacy
Possession of 5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
Minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2) in first degree and a good postgraduate degree
Submission of a research proposal (maximum five pages) relevant to the oil and gas industry, including topic, introduction, objectives, methodology, and mode of data collection
Valid National Identity Number (NIN) with verification (NIMC verification charges apply)
Lecturers must provide a letter from their Vice Chancellors confirming they are not recipients of any other scholarships

Applicants must ensure that their proposed course of study aligns with PTDF's mandate and is relevant to the oil and gas industry.
Candidates with multiple applications will be automatically disqualified.
Previous beneficiaries of PTDF scholarships in the same category (MSc/PhD) are ineligible to apply again for the same or lower category.
Applicants who are beneficiaries of other scholarships from similar organizations are not eligible to apply.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and must present their academic transcripts during the interview.
