Program Overview
The Rotary Peace Fellowship aims to develop the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace. Each year, Rotary awards up to 50 fellowships for Master’s degrees and up to 80 for Professional Development Certificates at renowned institutions worldwide. Through academic training, practical experience, and global networking opportunities, fellows are equipped to address the root causes of conflict and contribute to sustainable peace.
Master’s Degree Programs: These programs, lasting 15 to 24 months, are designed for early-career professionals. Fellows study various aspects of peace and conflict resolution, engage in extensive research, and participate in a two- to three-month field study, which they design themselves.
Professional Development Certificate Programs: Tailored for mid-career professionals, this intensive 3-month program combines theoretical learning with practical skills in peacebuilding and conflict transformation. It requires 11 weeks of on-site participation and is intended for those with significant experience in peace-related fields.

Eligible Citizens
The Rotary Peace Fellowships are open to individuals from countries where Rotary clubs are active, encompassing most nations worldwide. However, applicants cannot attend a Rotary Peace Center in their home country or country of permanent residence, with the exception of Japanese citizens or residents who have completed studies abroad and wish to attend the Rotary Peace Center at International Christian University in Japan.
