The CAN Data Science Fellowship 2025 Overview
The CAN Data Science Fellowship is designed to develop data science talent for impactful work in climate and health sectors across Africa. Participants will collaborate with host institutions and mentors on projects, sharing their data skills, fostering innovative solutions, and building a network of professionals committed to sustainable development. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Background: Completion of a first university degree with the capacity for independent advanced academic research and study.
Professional Experience: At least three years of work experience in data management, analysis, and visualization.
Skills: Strong communication abilities, quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills, and expertise in technology, systems development, big data, open data, and data science.
Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with the contexts of African countries, particularly concerning climate and health issues.
Commitment: Availability for full-time engagement during the fellowship, with physical presence required at the host institution's office.
