Curriculum and Program Structure

The IMPRS-APS programme offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with a solid foundation in advanced photon science. The programme is structured into four main tracks:

  1. Ultrafast Science: Focuses on exploring phenomena on timescales ranging from femtoseconds to attoseconds.

  2. Molecular Dynamics: Investigating the dynamics of molecules using advanced spectroscopic techniques.

  3. Machine Learning Approaches: Developing and applying machine learning approaches in photonics research.

  4. Precision-Spectroscopy Experiments: Advancing precision-spectroscopy experiments and investigating light-controlled electron motion in solids.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IMPRS-APS programme, applicants must:

  1. Hold a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Theoretical Physics, Experimental Physics, or related fields.

  2. Demonstrate proficiency in English (minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

  3. Have a strong academic record and research potential.
