Eligibility Criteria

Open to artists with at least two years of professional experience or a formal degree in dance and choreography. All dance forms are welcome. There are no age restrictions.

 

Application Procedure

1. Prepare Application Materials

  • Portrait photo (in jpg or png format).

  • Information on your cooperating partner (contact details and description, max. 500 characters).

  • Letter of Intent by the cooperating partner (in English; in pdf format).

  • Brief statement on the planned fellowship (max. 500 characters).

  • Short description of yourself as an artist (max. 500 characters).

  • Calculated travel costs for final week in Wuppertal and – if necessary – to the fellowship site.

  • Information on the intended time period and duration of the fellowship (specified in whole months).

  • Letter of Motivation (max. 1,000 characters).

  • CV in tabular form (max. 1,000 characters).

  • 1 video (max. 5 min).


2. Submit Application

  • Complete the online application form in English.

  • Ensure all character references are inclusive of blanks.

  • Provide video footage via a link (e.g., Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive).


3. Selection Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by an international jury.

  • Applicants will be informed about the jury decision via email.

  • The jury’s decision is final and incontestable.


4. Post-Selection

  • Selected fellows will participate in a digital onboarding in the second half of August 2025.

  • A final week in Wuppertal, Germany, is scheduled for the conclusion of the fellowship.
