The UK-India TOEFL Scholarship is a collaboration between the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) and ETS TOEFL®. This scholarship aims to support Indian students who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programs at UK universities. Ten selected candidates will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹2,50,000, which can be used for college expenses such as tuition, books, housing deposits, and transportation. To be eligible, applicants need a TOEFL test score of 75 out of 120 and an offer letter from a UK university. Successful recipients will also serve as TOEFL Student Ambassadors during their studies. The application deadline is July 15th, 2024.

The UK-India TOEFL Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship awardees will benefit from the awarded scholarship in terms of both, financial assistance as well as visibility, as follows:
1). Financial Support
Ten deserving candidates will receive a one-time scholarship of ₹2,50,000, which can be used for various college expenses such as tuition, books, housing deposits, and transportation.
2). TOEFL Student Ambassador Role
Successful candidates also serve as TOEFL Student Ambassadors during their studies, gaining valuable leadership experience and networking opportunities. This may include:
Representing TOEFL as a Student Ambassador at university fairs, educational workshops, or other relevant events
Developing content for marketing and promotional activities, such as writing blog posts or creating video testimonials about their experiences
Participating in relevant international events for students
Engagement as a valued member of the global alumni network under the TOEFL program
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1). TOEFL Test Score: A minimum TOEFL iBT test score of 75 out of 120 is required.
2). Offer Letter: Applicants must have received an offer letter from a UK university for the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 intake.
3). Citizenship: Applicants must be Indian citizens with valid Indian passports.
4). Program Enrollment: Candidates should be enrolling in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at a UK university.
Application Enclosures
To apply for the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship 2024, you’ll need the following documents:
A copy of a valid passport.
Bank details and a cancelled cheque.
PAN card details.
Academic transcripts, including marksheets and certificates.
An essay on the topic “Creating a Social Impact with a UK-based Education” (approximately 500 words).
Application Procedure
Steps to Apply for the Scholarship
• Step 1: Applicants submit their ETS ID to begin their process. This can be done through the online application portal
• Step 2: The candidates who have scored 75 or above will be asked to:
Fill in details of their Grade 12 scores, Graduation scores
Write an essay on 'Creating a social impact with a UK-based Education' [500 words]
Provide a highlight of their personal & academic achievements
• Step 3: The Essay submission will be assessed along with other personal and academic credentials according to the applicant’s eligibility and the completeness of the supporting documentation submitted by the 15th of July.
• Step 4: A maximum of ten (10) applicants will be selected and will be sent a notification from ETS India latest by 15th Aug 2024.
