TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship Overview
The TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship is designed to support external postdoctoral scientists currently residing abroad who wish to initiate new research projects in collaboration with TUM scientists. Fellows will have the opportunity to diversify their research profiles within a TUM department, benefiting from the university's commitment to excellence in research and teaching, interdisciplinary education, and active promotion of promising young scientists.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship, applicants must:
Have completed their PhD within the last three years or plan to complete it within the next 12 months
Reside outside of Germany at the time of application
Propose a research project that aligns with the interests of a TUM host (active TUM Professors, Heads of Institutes/Chairs, or Junior Fellows)
Application Procedure
The application process consists of two phases as outlined below:
Phase I
Submit the following documents via the designated application portal:
Letter of Motivation (approximately 1 page)
Curriculum Vitae including a list of publications (maximum 5 pages)
Copy of your best publication
PhD certificate or confirmation of PhD submission
Reference Letter from your supervisor
Names of up to three potential TUM hosts
Phase II:
Upon successful completion of Phase I, applicants will need to:
Obtain a Letter of Support from a TUM host
Submit a detailed Research Proposal (maximum 4 pages)
