Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship, applicants must:

1. Have completed their PhD within the last three years or plan to complete it within the next 12 months

2. Reside outside of Germany at the time of application

3. Propose a research project that aligns with the interests of a TUM host (active TUM Professors, Heads of Institutes/Chairs, or Junior Fellows)

Application Procedure

The application process consists of two phases as outlined below:

Phase I

Submit the following documents via the designated application portal:

• Letter of Motivation (approximately 1 page)

• Curriculum Vitae including a list of publications (maximum 5 pages)

• Copy of your best publication

• PhD certificate or confirmation of PhD submission

• Reference Letter from your supervisor

• Names of up to three potential TUM hosts

Phase II:

Upon successful completion of Phase I, applicants will need to:

• Obtain a Letter of Support from a TUM host

• Submit a detailed Research Proposal (maximum 4 pages)
