TWAS-CSIR Fellowship Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Age: Must be 45 years or younger as of December 31, 2025.
Nationality: Citizens of a developing country (excluding India).
Academic Qualification: Hold a PhD in a relevant field of science or technology.
Residency Restrictions: Must not hold temporary or permanent residency in India or any developed country.
Employment: Be regularly employed in a developing country with an active research assignment.
Acceptance Letter: Obtain preliminary acceptance from a CSIR laboratory or institution.
English Proficiency: Provide evidence of English proficiency if the medium of previous education was not English.
Return Commitment: Commit to returning to their home country upon completion of the fellowship.
Exclusivity: Must not engage in other assignments during the fellowship period.
Financial Responsibility: Be financially responsible for accompanying family members, if any.
Application Process
Applications can only be submitted online through the official TWAS portal. Applicants must follow below process:
1. Preliminary Acceptance:

2. Application Submission:
Submit the application via the TWAS portal and email a copy to CSIR.

3. Supporting Documents:
