UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship 2025

The UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship 2025 offers a transformative opportunity for passionate young leaders between the ages of 15 and 25 to shape the future of education and advocate for children's rights. This fellowship is a platform for youth voices, fostering innovative ideas and equipping participants with tools to influence global discussions. Program Overview

The Youth Foresight Fellowship is an initiative that brings together a global network of youth advocates to collaborate on educational transformation and child rights advocacy. Over the course of nine months, fellows will contribute to pivotal discussions, such as the Leading Minds Conference, and participate in activities that promote a brighter future for children worldwide.


Participants will gain:

  • Hands-on experience in child rights advocacy.

  • Opportunities to collaborate with like-minded youth globally.

  • A platform to showcase their innovative ideas on education and advocacy.

  • Fellows will also receive a stipend for their contributions.


The fellowship requires a commitment of 7–10 hours per week from January to September 2025.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Age: Be between 15 and 25 years old.

  2. Interest Areas: Demonstrated passion for education, research, youth engagement, and/or advocacy.

  3. Experience: Prior experience in facilitation, workshop delivery, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), or advocacy campaigns is a plus.

  4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of other UN languages is advantageous.

  5. Residency: Applicants must reside in one of the eligible countries below.

Africa:Algeria, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritania.

Americas: Ecuador, Haiti, USA.

Other Regions: Participants from UNICEF regions in Europe & Central Asia, South Asia, and East Asia & the Pacific are also eligible.

 

Application Process

Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate their creativity and vision through innovative submissions. This can include:

  • A short story.

  • Video.

  • Poem or song.

  • Visual artwork.


These creative pieces should reflect the applicant's vision for the future of education and their commitment to child advocacy.
