Programme Duration: June 2 – August 8, 2025
Weeks 1 and 2: (June 2–15) can be attended online.
From Week 3: (June 16), in-person participation is required.
Programme Highlights
Participants will:
Conduct individual research guided by a mentor.
Attend research skills lectures and seminars.
Participate in project presentations.

Benefits for Participants
Scholarship: Participants will receive a HK$10,000 scholarship upon successful completion of the program.
Airfare: Reimbursement for airfare (up to HK$5,000).
Accommodation: University dormitory (up to HK$5,000).
Mentorship: One-to-One Mentorship: Work directly with an eminent HKU professor in your chosen field. The program office will carefully match participants with mentors based on their research interests and priorities.
Awards for Excellence: Top performers will be recognized with prizes and awards.
Conditional Offers for PhD Studies: Outstanding participants may receive a conditional offer for the prestigious HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship, which provides financial support of up to HK$433,300 in the first year and HK$413,300 in subsequent years.
Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate Students: Year 3 or 4 with a CGPA of 3.6 or above (or equivalent).
Master’s Students: Bachelor’s degree holders with 1st Class Honours (or equivalent).
Academic standing: Exceptional academic performance.
Research Potential: Demonstrated interest in research postgraduate studies and Prior research experience.
Language: High proficiency in English.
