Scholarship Overview
The University of Kent has a longstanding tradition of welcoming international students from around the world. The International Scholarships for Undergraduate Students are designed to recognize and support outstanding academic achievements. These scholarships contribute significantly towards tuition fees, easing the financial burden on recipients and allowing them to focus on their academic pursuits.
Scholarship Benefits
Financial Support: Each scholarship provides up to £18,000, distributed as £6,000 per academic year for up to three years.
Duration: The scholarship covers up to three years of undergraduate study, contingent upon the recipient maintaining an average of 60% in the first and second years.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for University of Kent Undergraduate Scholarships:
Academic Excellence: Achieve at least AAA at A level or possess an equivalent overseas qualification.
University Application: Submit a formal application for a full-time undergraduate degree program at the University of Kent, starting in September 2025, and receive a formal offer (conditional or unconditional).
Offer Status: Applicants do not need to have accepted their offer to be eligible; however, those who have declined their offer or designated Kent as their insurance choice will not be considered.
Fee Assessment: Be assessed as an overseas fee payer.
Program Restrictions: Applicants for distance learning programs, KMMS programs, or degrees that include a foundation year are not eligible.
Application Procedure
To apply for the International Scholarship:
Access the Applicant Portal: Log in to your applicant portal.
Navigate to Applications: Click on the 'Applications' tab and select your submitted application.
Funding Section: Click on the 'Funding' button to view a list of scholarships for which you may be eligible.
Apply: Once you have received an offer, you will be able to apply for the International Scholarship. Click on 'Apply' and follow the steps to submit your application.

✨ Selection Process
Scholarship applications will be shortlisted based on academic achievement to date. Final decisions will also consider your full program application, including your personal statement and any references received. The final recruitment and selection panel(s) will convene in the week commencing 28 April 2025. Applicants will be notified of the final decision shortly thereafter. If successful, the scholarship offer must be accepted within two weeks of the award.
