1) Level A
This type of scholarship includes these benefits:
Full tuition fees waiver
Monthly Stipend: Master’s students receive up to 3,000 RMB per month, and PhD students receive up to 7,000 RMB per month.

Eligiblity Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Scholarship 2025, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Nationality: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens.
2. Age: Applicants for master's programs should be under 35 years old by September 1, 2025, and applicants for doctoral programs should be under 45 years old by the same date
3. Education: Bachelor's degree holders for master's programs and master's degree holders for doctoral programs. Applicants should meet the general admission criteria for international students of USTC
4. Language Proficiency:
For programs taught in Chinese, applicants must pass HSK Level 4 or above
For programs taught in English, proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS or TOEFL) is required.
5. Health: Applicants must be mentally and physically healthy
6. Pre-graduation Certificate: Graduating students must submit a certificate confirming they will complete their studies and earn their degree by July 2025
Application Procedure
Applications for the USTC Scholarship are entirely online and can be submitted on the online application portal
To apply for the fellowship, applicants need to create an account in the USTC Application System and select the fellowship that they want to apply for. Applicants can either apply for one level or two levels at the same time. USTC will decide which level of the fellowship may be given based on the comprehensive elevation of the applicant. Each applicant can only be supported by one scholarship.
