Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding offers a transformative opportunity to elevate your impact. Applications are now open for this fully funded fellowship, hosted by The Asia Foundation (TAF), which aims to support and develop the next generation of leaders committed to conflict resolution and peacebuilding in the region.

🎓 Fellowship Overview

Established in 2004 to honor William P. Fuller’s 15-year tenure as president of The Asia Foundation, this fellowship is dedicated to the professional development of leaders committed to peacebuilding in Asia and the Pacific. Each year, three fellows are selected to participate in a comprehensive program that includes:

  • In-Person Study Tour: A two-week immersive experience in the U.S., visiting key institutions and engaging with experts in San Francisco, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

  • Virtual Seminars: Supplementary online sessions focusing on peace and stability, leadership, and exchange programs.

  • Professional Development Grant: Flexible funding to support a self-designed project or to advance professional goals.


The fellowship emphasizes network building between fellows and the global peacebuilding community, aiming to support and elevate their work and professional development.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for William P. Fuller Fellowship in Peacebuilding, applicants must:

  1. Be 40 years old or younger during the program year (born after October 13, 1985).

  2. Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries or regions listed above.

  3. Have at least three years of professional experience in peacebuilding or related fields.

  4. Be fluent in written and spoken English.

  5. Demonstrate leadership capacity and a commitment to peacebuilding.

  6. Be able to commit to the program dates and secure a U.S. visa.
