Yangzhou University is now accepting applications for its prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) High-Level Postgraduate Program for the 2025-2026 academic year. Scholarship Benefits

Yangzhou University CGS High-Level Postgraduate Scholarship is fully Funded that covers the following:

  1. Tuition fees

  2. Accommodation (on-campus housing),

  3. Living allowance.

  4. Off-campus accommodation subsidy (if applicable).

  5. Comprehensive insurance plan for international students in China.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  1. Nationality: Must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.

  2. Master’s Programs: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with excellent academic performance and be aged 18-35 (as of March 31, 2025).

  3. Doctoral Programs: Applicants must hold a master’s degree or its equivalent with excellent academic performance and be aged 18-40 (as of March 31, 2025).

  4. Funding Status: Applicants should not be recipients of any other scholarships in China.

  5. Language proficiency: For English taught programs: Proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS 6.5) unless the applicant is from an English-speaking country or the official language of their country is English

 

How to Apply

Applicants must complete their application on both the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) and YZU online application platforms. Applications without dual submission will be deemed invalid.

📂 Application Guide

  • Registration Fee: RMB 600 (non-refundable). Payment details are outlined in Appendix 4.

  • Required Documents: Refer to Appendix 2 for a comprehensive list of materials.

  • Supervisor Endorsement: Applicants are encouraged to contact potential supervisors in advance and obtain a "Supervisor Acceptance Letter" to strengthen their application.

  • Institution Code for Yangzhou University: 11117 (required for the CSC system).

  • Application Format: Applications are fully online; no paper submissions are required.


💲Payment Instructions


  • Bank Transfers: Applicants must include their application number when making payments via bank transfer.

  • Currency: Payments should be made in RMB for domestic transactions or USD for international remittances (details in Appendix 4).

  • Proof of Payment: Upload the remittance voucher to the online application system.


🗓️ Application Timeline


  • Application Period: December 15, 2024, to February 15, 2025.

  • Preliminary Review: Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview or entrance examination in March 2025. Those who fail to attend will not be admitted.
