Scholarship Overview
The Infrastructure Management Program at YNU is a two-year interdisciplinary master's program aimed at training professionals responsible for planning and managing infrastructure development. Sponsored by the Government of Japan and administered by the World Bank, the program combines classroom learning, practical training, and thesis work to prepare graduates to address infrastructure challenges in their home countries.
Students will take courses in civil engineering, environmental studies, law, economics, and management, with additional training in computer techniques, mathematics, and Japanese language. Participants will also engage in off-campus practicums and field excursions to gain hands-on experience.

Living Allowance: Monthly stipend of JPY 170,000–200,000.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a national of a World Bank member country (see list here)
Hold a bachelor's degree (earned at least three years prior to the application deadline) with superior academic achievements.
Have at least three years of recent, full-time paid professional experience in a development-related field.
Be employed in a full-time position at the time of application (unless from a country on the World Bank’s Fragile Situations list).
Demonstrate English proficiency through TOEFL/IELTS scores or evidence of completing a degree program conducted in English.
Be in good health and not hold dual citizenship with a developed country.
ℹ️ Note Regarding English language proficiency
If the applicants have completed a university program conducted mainly in English, submit a certificate of English proficiency sufficient to prove the fact that the medium of instruction has been English and that the applicants have successfully completed the program. The applicants may be asked to be interviewed by YNU academic staff via Skype, Zoom, Teams etc. primarily for the purpose of ascertaining their proficiency in English.
ℹ️ Priority Consideration for admission will be given to applicants who:
Have a good academic potential to study IMP Master’s Degree Program.
Are planning to return to the equivalent position (including the current one) in their home country after s/he completes the program.
Are recommended by appropriate government agencies and,
Submit Official English proficiency Test Scores (TOEFL/IELTS, etc).
Application Procedure
1. Submit an Online Application
Complete the YNU Web Application System.

2. Required Documents:
Completed application form.
Official academic transcripts and graduation certificates.
English proficiency test scores (TOEFL/IELTS) or equivalent proof.
