Applications for the 2024 Young Farmer Upskill and Invest Scholarship Program are now open.
2024 Young Farmers Scholarship Program in Australia provides an excellent opportunity for young farmers and farm workers to invest in their careers. Each year, 12 to 14 scholarships are granted to young farmers aged between 18 and 35.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be aged 35 years or younger at the time of the application.
They should have been working in a farm business in Victoria for at least three days per week** over the past three months.
A minimum of two years of total experience on-farm is required.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents currently residing in Victoria.
Scholarship Amount
Up to $10,000 is available per scholarship:
1). Up to $5,000 towards study or training (Upskill).
2). An additional $5,000 upon completion of study or training to invest in activities that support the application of learnings from the chosen study or training (Invest).
Types of study or training that will be funded
Applications will be considered for any form of study or training that is relevant to developing a career in agriculture, including professional short courses or workshops.
Eligible study or training must be:
a minimum of 16 contact hours (this may involve more than one course or workshop, and may be across multiple institutions and organisations, or offered online)
delivered by a registered training organisation (RTO)
delivered by another reputable organisation (such as an industry organisation) approved through discussion with the department.
