Fellowship Overview
The YIA Fellowship in Agrifood Systems is a comprehensive program aimed at preparing a new generation of African leaders in impact measurement. Participants, known as Young Impact Associates (YIAs), will engage in practical experiences, including on-location work placements with leading organizations in the impact measurement sector. The fellowship also offers mentorship, coaching, customized training in leadership and impact measurement, and opportunities for peer learning and collaboration.
Fellowship Structure
Practical Experience: On-location work placements with leading organizations in the impact measurement sector for intensive industry immersion experiences
Mentorship and Coaching: Guidance and support from seasoned professionals
Customized Training: Leadership, impact measurement, and related topics
Peer Learning and Collaboration: Strengthening YIA networks and promoting intra-country partnerships

Stipend: Monthly stipend throughout the 12-month program

YIA Agrifood Systems Fellowship Eligibility
Nationality: Must be a national of Ghana, Kenya, or Uganda, residing in Africa
Age: Between 18 and 35 years
Education: Minimum of a diploma or bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines, including social sciences, agricultural sciences, economics, data sciences, environmental and climate science, international development, policy, and governance
Language: Good command of both written and spoken English
Engagement: Engaged in full-time, part-time work, self-employment, studying, or unemployed
Passion: Mission-driven interest and passion for the impact measurement field
Commitment: Willingness to commit to a 12-month full-time program participation
